Is there an Age limit?

Yes, you must be over 16 years old to join.

What should I bring to class?

Along with your regular workout kit, you must bring a pair of grippy socks to ensure a safe and effective workout. You can either bring your own or purchase a ReformX pair online or at reception.

CAN I STILL JOIN THE CLASS IF I'M RUNNING LATE?

It is important you arrive on time for the warm up. If you are running late, you may be turned away by the Trainer.

How should I feel during Pilates?

During a Pilates session, you may experience shaking while performing certain exercises—that’s a sign your muscles and joints are getting stronger. This shaking is your body’s way of highlighting weaknesses, instabilities, and imbalances.

Pilates targets stabilizing muscles that are often underutilized in other workouts, causing them to fatigue quickly. As a result, you may shake or feel a deep burn. It’s also common to feel sore the next day, sometimes in muscles you didn’t even know you had!

How many times a week should I be doing Pilates?

For optimal results, it's recommended to do Reformer Pilates 2 to 4 times per week, depending on your fitness level and goals. Practicing 2-3 times per week helps build strength, improve flexibility, and enhance overall body awareness, while 4 or more sessions per week can accelerate progress. However, it's important to allow time for recovery to prevent overuse injuries. Consistency is key, so finding a schedule that balances challenge and rest will help you achieve the best results.

As Joseph Pilates famously said, “In 10 sessions you will feel better, in 20 you will look better, and in 30 you will have a whole new body.”

Can I join multiple studios?

Of course! You will need to create a new account for each studio, and purchase a valid package for each studio.

MEMBERSHIPS & CLASS PACKS

Can I put my Membership on hold?

You can freeze your membership once for up to two weeks during your 13-week contract. If you need a longer freeze due to medical treatment, you’ll need to provide supporting documents. Your membership term will be extended by the same length as the hold.

To request a freeze, email your home studio with your start and end dates. Please note that we do not offer unlimited or indefinite holds.

How do I cancel my membership?

To cancel your membership, please email your home studio directly and speak directly with staff who will walk you through your membership details and discuss all suitable options.

Classes are booked out, what should I do?

Our classes are typically smaller in size to ensure we can cater to all our participants, however that does mean our classes can get booked out quickly.

We recommend booking your class in advance, or adding yourself to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available in the class you will be notified via sms or email.

I am running late to class, can I still attend?

Every class starts with a warm up which is essential to prepare your body for the workout. So if you do arrive over 5 minutes late, the instructor has full authority to turn you away from the class.

I have to cancel my class, can you refund me?

If you can't attend your booked session, you must cancel at least 9 hours in advance to the scheduled time of the session. If you cancel within 9 hours of your booked session, it will result in the loss of a credit. Furthermore, failure to cancel and attend the class will incur a loss of credit and $15 no-show fee.

We understand that at times life can get in the way, we try to do our best to accomodate for all our clients. However, the cancellation policy ensures that other members are able to get access to classes.

If the cancellation occurs within the 9 hour window due to a medical emergency, please email our team to assist via hello@reformxpilates.com

CAN I USE MY CREDITS FOR ANOTHER LOCATION?

All purchases are final and non-transferable. If you wish to attend another studio, you will need to set up a new account and package for that studio.

PREGNANCY & PILATES

I AM PREGNANT, CAN I STILL ATTEND CLASSES?

While pilates can be a safe and effective form of exercise during pregnancy, our classes are more vigorous than traditional pilates so it may not be suitable. You must receive your doctor's approval before attending classes.

If you have received permission from your doctor, please inform your instructor of your pregnancy so they can adapt the workout to cater for your needs.

Can I bring my child to the class?

Unfortunately, due to health & safety precautions we do not allow children in the studio.

I've just given birth, when can I start?

Congratulations! Great to see that you want to get back into the swing of things.

First things first, please check in with GP/Obstetrician to ensure your body is ready to handle movement again. Typically, you may need to wait 4-6 weeks post pregnancy to exercise again but this depends on your body and the labour process. That is why your check up is vital before you start doing group exercise.

Once you receive clearance, advise the instructor of your condition and start slow!

Do you offer pregnancy and post-natal classes?

We do not currently offer this class.
