REFORMX CLASSES

WHAT TO BRING
Along with your regular workout kit you’ll do the class wearing grippy socks. They’re optional so you can either bring your own or purchase a SPX pair online or at reception.
CAN I STILL JOIN THE CLASS IF I'M RUNNING LATE?
It is important you arrive on time for the warm up. If you are running late, you may be turned away by the Trainer.
How should I feel during Pilates?
During any Pilates session, you may find yourself shaking when executing various exercises, and that shaking is exactly what helps strengthen your muscles and joints. The point of shake is feedback from your body labeling where weaknesses, instabilities, and imbalances are. Pilates challenges stabilizing muscles that aren’t regularly activated during daily activities so they will fatigue quickly and you may shake or feel a burn in your body. It’s common in Pilates to feel sore the next day, usually in places you’ve never felt sore before!
How many times a week should I be doing Pilates?
Joseph Pilates famously said, “In 10 sessions you will feel better, in 20 you will look better, and in 30 you will have a whole new body.” If you are doing 2-3 classes a week, you should start to see results in 10-12 weeks. If you attend one class a week, you will still see results but it might take longer. Ultimately, it comes down to the your goals, other activities, financial situation, etc.
I'm pregnant or postnatal, can I attend?
If you a pregnant or post natal, it is important you consult with your physician and receive clearance to perform reformer pilates.
